"Anyone studying UFOs invariably hears countless stories from experiencers, all with their own unique perspectives. I cherish all of them. But I am especially struck by the clear sincerity and insight with which Blume writes. Those interested in contact with other intelligences will be drawn to the book for its subject matter; I suspect their true takeaway will be how Blume wrestles with the broader implications, which he tackles with a resonant poignancy."
"This book confronts the deepest of mysteries. It also tells a story. Within these pages is a man's struggle to make sense of the unknowable and how it transformed his life. Occurrence is told with remarkable clarity—the fear, turmoil, and awe of his experiences play out with profound creative power. UFO contact becomes a parable, a deeply personal challenge to face a lifetime of questions and memories. What emerges is a heartfelt testament of the human spirit."
"If you take reality for granted and need a good slap to the face to return you to your senses of awe and wonder, this is the book for you. "Occurrence - Dancing with Tricksters" is a sharp reminder that we must persist in our efforts to expand our perceptions and consciousness because there are vast dimensional experiences awaiting our awareness. I am grateful to have been able to share vicariously in the mind-bending visions of this work, told in sensational detail and delivering a world unveiled."
“Sharp storytelling wrapped in surreal, offbeat charm — a delightfully unpredictable gem.”
“Told with honesty and grace, this remarkable memoir blends wonder, fear, and vulnerability. More than paranormal, it becomes a powerful testimony of resilience and discernment.”
“A fascinating book that stretches the imagination and our understanding of what’s real. Some passages are frightening, others deeply comforting—and I am a better person from having read it.”
“The childhood encounters with otherworldly visitors are beautifully told, filled with innocence and vivid detail. His love of ‘the blimp,’ a near mishap with a new washing machine, and the endearing beings he described bring the story to life with warmth and wonder.”
This author is one of the best writers I have come across. He somehow blends common, clear, descriptions with a poetic flair, providing the attentive reader with a glimpse into this man’s inner world.
He waited for many years before writing about his memories of inexplicable events that, truly challenged his imagination and sense of reality. His choice of words and descriptive phrases provide the reader with a sense of eloquence once taken for granted in the writing of authors and poets of a bygone era.
One might suspect this author has more than a passing familiarity with the works of Shakespeare, Yeats, and other literary giants. And yet, this author is clearly unique in his own style. The apparent connection to the great authors of long ago, comes across as echoes of those writers, almost as a faint trace of the Victorian era.
The style and eloquence of this writer’s craft, underscores some of his memories and musings. You may suspect this author has one foot in our consensual “reality” while dipping the toes of the other foot into the waters of different worlds. It seems the “barrier” between our notion of reality and another place and time within an infinite omniverse, is thinner and more permeable for some of us.
Many of us think we would find such permeability to be fascinating and adventurous. This author, I suspect, and as he himself writes, would prefer both of his feet on solid ground. He might even caution us to be very careful about what we wish for. He learned the hard way, from an early age, the results and social implications of self disclosure of unusual personal experiences. My heart goes out to him.
